Occupational Therapy Services

Occupational Therapists, or OTs, treat injured, ill, or disabled patients through the therapeutic use of everyday activities. They help these patients develop, recover, improve, as well as maintain the skills needed for daily living and working.

OTs are trained to work with a variety of musculoskeletal injuries including upper extremity nerve compression (ie carpal tunnel syndrome), repetitive strain injuries (wrist tendonitis), wrist/finger fractures, tendon repairs and stroke rehabilitation.  OTs also assist patients after total joint replacements so that they can perform daily living skills with optimal independence using adaptive equipment and compensatory strategies until they have healed.
